“Sacred Flame” Alphecca Candle Holder Talisman 🕯️✨

✨ This candle holder talisman is the fruit of a reflection on how to use the powers of talismanic magic to bless not just our bodies, but also our spaces. The land we live on, the buildings we inhabit are just as magical and spiritually charged as we are. Creating talismans for our spaces is an effort to recognise them as alive, magical spaces that we do not just “own“ and impose our will on, but places we are the custodians of. Our well-being depends in large part on the relationship we have with the places we live, that we call home. I initially wanted to opt for small statuettes as these home talismans, in the image of the Romans, who honoured the lares, the protective spirits who were kept in the home to maintain peace and felicity. After a conversation with the wonderful Shuly Rose, I decided to opt for candle holders instead. Their presence is easier to integrate into a home for both beginners and confirmed practitioners alike, and you can combine their influence with that of a particular candle, depending on what you wish to bring.

💎 Consecrated on February 20, 2024 as beautiful star Alphecca (12°37’ Scorpio) was rising on the horizon, trined by an auspicious Moon in Cancer, the Alphecca talismanic candle holders were consecrated to bring peace, sincere friendships and the “good will and love of men” ad described by Renaissance mage Cornelius Agrippa. Alphecca is a bright, beautiful fixed star known for her gentleness and benevolence — her name comes from the Arabic nayyir al-fakka "the bright (star) of the broken (ring of stars)". The myth associated with Corona Borealis is that of Ariadne, the mythological princess of Crete who helped Theseus escaped the Minotaur. After being abandoned by Theseus on the island of Naxos, Ariadne was found by and married Dionysius, god of festivity, drinking, fertility and vegetation. He gifts her a crown in the form of a garland of flowers or wreath). Eventually, Ariadne passes away (as she is a mortal). Heartbroken, Dyonisus throws the crown he gave her into the firmament, creating the Corona Borealis constellation we know today.

👑 As a result, getting an Alphecca talisman is great for attracting friendship, favour, success but also discernment, meaning that the spirit of Alphecca is helpful to determine who deserves your loyalty, and for attracting meaningful, authentic and long-lasting friendships. Alphecca talismans have an element of chasing away illusions and for facing reality as it is. 💎 The Alphecca candle holders offered are made of blue ceramic, and were all engraved with the name and sigil of Alphecca and appropriately consecrated (ensouled) according to the rites of traditional astrological magic on February 20, 2024 (see chart in the gallery). The conditions is that the tropical degree of Alphecca (12°37 Scorpio) is rising on the Ascendant, while the Moon in Cancer applies to trine it. The Moon is particularly well placed in this election in her domicile of Cancer, and she doesn’t apply to any hard aspects to any planet. This is quite a rare election and I’ve been trying to find a good Alphecca election for a while now, so this is your chance to receive a prime Alphecca talisman! Talismans are a co-creation of reality, and are powerful devices which enable you to create and nurture a relationship with a deity or (planetary) spirit.
